Использование: Used by the Swiss Army until 1955 when it was replaced by the "Alpenflage" pattern based on the WW2 German Leibermuster pattern
Расцветка: A splinter pattern very much resembling the German splinter pattern of WW2. The shelter is reversible and the patterns on both sides are different.
"Side A": splinter pattern - brownish tan background with green and brown splinters. Overprinted with green "rain strokes"
"Side B": the same splinter pattern as on Side A, but also overprinted with yellow dots.
The photo of the pattern shows Side B to the left and Side A to the right. Side A is the "upper side" of the shelter. Side A is shown as "Front view" below and Side B as "Rear view"
Дополнительная информация: There is a number of differences of the German Zeltbahn 31 and the Swiss Zelteinhiten 1901:
- The Swiss shelter is rectangular whereas the German Zeltbahn is triangular
- The German Zeltbahn does not have the yellow dots on any side
- There is green "lines" through the brown areas of the Swiss pattern - sometimes connecting the green areas. The German Zeltbahn does not have these lines - The Swiss shelter has a "coin" with the manufacturer etc. (shown below under Label). I don't know if all Swiss shelters have this - German Zeltbahns do never.
